An introduction post on what this site is about (and what it is not) – and about the joy of not being sold anything.
This is a blog about privacy
Nothing more, nothing less – as simple as that.
Despite the seeming abundance of likewise websites out there, the majority of these sites fall into either of the two categories:
- Content focused on (information) security
- Content designed to sell (garbage)
It’s about protecting yourself – and those you love
Individuals do not suffer from security breaches – they suffer from privacy invasion. So unless directly related to the latter, the topic of information security won’t be covered here. Contrary to popular belief, people had their privacy invaded (and suffered from the consequences) before the digital age – and continue to protect their privacy without the need of technological expertise or having to spend a fortune on state level security measures. This blog assumes that potential threats from privacy invasions lead to ‘real world’ consequences, thus focusing on ‘real world’ – which to this day happens primarily offline.
The joy – and liberation – of not being sold or having to sell anything
This blog is strictly non-commercial, nothing installed on this website will track you, or collect from you and there will be no ads placed or sponsorships accepted, ever – period. The only privacy policy which applies is the one from noblogs itself – nothing extra.
This blog, if anything, attempts to spark a debate on topics regarding privacy which I feel receive too little attention.
There is a beauty of not being sold anything, just as there is a liberation in not having to sell anything in return.
With that being said.
Stay low and stay safe,
Fidelio
